The baobab tree is a native Southern African tree, and is the topic of much African folklore and poetry. It is believed that great spirits reside within this gigantic tree, that can live for 3000 years. Also known as 'The Tree of Life,' the baobab can store 1000's of litres of water in it's trunk which contributes to it's high oil content.

Baobab oil is made from the seeds found in the highly nutritions fruits. This ancient oil is full of omega fatty acids and healing properties. 

Components of the Baobab Oil

Baobab oil contains the three omega fatty acids; Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9. It is rich in many other exotic fatty acids that are absent in other oils. These exotic fatty acids include Dihydrosterculic acid, Sterculic acid, Malvalic acid, Linoleic acid, Palmitic acid, Arachidic acid, Oleic acid, Stearic acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, and Vitamin K.
